Open Enrollment for Retirees

Open Enrollment for Retirees medical insurance is from August 1-August 31

  • During Open Enrollment, you select your benefits from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
  • Changes you make go into effect on October 1, 2026

Open Enrollment for dental insurance is once every three years (the dental open enrollment is happening in 2027).

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity for retirees to review current benefit elections and make changes such as:

  • Change medical plans
  • Drop medical plan
  • Add or drop dependents

After Open Enrollment ends, you cannot change your benefit elections until the next Open Enrollment, unless you have a ‘qualified status change’.

If you aren't making any changes to your Health Insurance, then no action is required.
